Overview
The Ultimus BPM Suite is a complete solution for automating essential business processes.
It will handle order processes, purchase requisitions, claims processes, document reviews, and more. It offers the fastest means of deploying sophisticated, database-driven, and scalable business process applications on intranets, extranets, and the Internet without any programming, macros, or scripting.
An Open, Scalable Architecture for Enterprise business process Automation
The Ultimus BPM Suite uses a scalable, open, and reliable architecture necessary for business process management deployments that could involve thousands of users. The architecture is based upon a Microsoft .NET foundation and leverages industry-standard and powerful enterprise computing technologies, including Web Services and XML. At the center of the product architecture is the Ultimus BPM Server.
Since the Ultimus BPM Server is .NET based and leverages open technologies such as XML and Web Services, it has the ability to act as an underlying BPM platform for multiple third-party enterprise applications. These qualities and its database connectivity to MS SQL Server, IBM DB2 or Oracle enterprise databases ensure that it can meet the demands of your organization for mission-critical process automation, now and in the future.
The Ultimus BPM Suite leverages open industry standards, such as Microsoft .NET, XML Schema, Web Services (WSDL, SOAP), MAPI, SMTP, LDAP and ADSI. All server components are individual components that are modular and scalable. Ultimus also provides extensive APIs to tailor business processes to meet your unique requirements and is a true enterprise business process platform.
It uses SQL Server or Oracle enterprise databases for scalability. Ultimus offers numerous open .NET and Web Services-based interfaces and an Enterprise Integration Kit (EIK) for flexibility and ease of integration.
Ultimus BPM Studio
Ultimus BPM Studio is a next-generation BPM IDE (Integrated Design Environment). It includes all of the capabilities currently found in both Ultimus Builder and Ultimus Process Designer. By combining the capabilities of these products, process design participants now have one place to go to design, model, develop, simulate, and test every business process.
BPM Server
The Ultimus BPM Server controls the execution of business processes. Its "process objects" are tightly integrated with the Microsoft COM+/DNA, the Microsoft Windows 2000 Server and BackOffice. Its unique U2Net - architecture enables users to seamlessly benefit from the performance of a client/server application as well as the reach of the Internet. Ultimus fully leverages the server clustering, COM+ load balancing, network load balancing, and fail-over redundancy capabilities of the Windows 2000 Advanced Server and the Application Centre Server for unprecedented scalability.
Ultimus Org Chart
Allows users to graphically create organization charts that are tightly integrated with Active Directory and define job functions, departments, roles, groups, and relationships. This information is used by Ultimus to implement intelligent business processes that are aware of the roles and relationships in an organization.
Ultimus Administrator
Provides Microsoft Management Console (MMC) based sophisticated administration features, such as installing and uninstalling processes, remote administration, version control, monitoring the status of business processes, generating process metrics, periodic process housekeeping, and managing exceptions.
Ultimus Reports
A comprehensive Web-based business process report generation module. This module allows process administrators to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of their business processes.
Ultimus Flobots
Allow you to use third-party applications as process robots. Just like robots, you train a Flobot for a specific task. Ultimus provides Flobots for Word, Excel, XML, Database, E-Mail, Script, File, and ASCII output. In addition, you can use the Flobot API to develop custom Flobots.
Ultimus FloStation
Provides the platform for the remote or local execution of Flobots. Multiple FloStations can be clustered to provide load balancing for scalability.
Ultimus Client
Using powerful and customisable views, the Client provides a listing of the tasks that the user has to perform using electronic forms. It provides facilities to perform the task, submit tasks, initiate new tasks, monitor the status of tasks, and return/rollback processes. Ultimus gives you choices for Client options to meet your needs. These include Internet Explorer Client, Outlook 2000 Client, Thin Client and the ability to create a custom client embedded in your own application.
Adaptive Discovery
Adaptive Discovery is a patented technology innovation from Ultimus that allows automated processes to be deployed without requiring complete process maps and definitions. Instead, process experts define the flow, rules, and recipients of work on the fly, when needed. The process "learns" from these decisions and follows them automatically for future matching cases, without involving the process experts. In this way, processes are defined and enhanced the same way they evolve in business-in response to real world business decisions and requirements.
