Organisation Chart

The Ultimus Org Chart allows users to graphically design the organization chart of their companies.

The Org Chart can contain companies, divisions, Departments, sections, Job Functions, or any other organizational category you choose. With each Job Function, you can associate a user name. With this information, Ultimus is aware of all the Job Functions in the company, the individuals responsible for the Job Functions, and their reporting relationships. This allows Ultimus to intelligently route processes with the knowledge of who the participants are, their Job Functions, and their reporting relationships.

The Ultimus Org Chart is tightly integrated with Microsoft's Active Directory. Ultimus will automatically associate users in your Active Directory with Job Functions in the Org Chart. Changes to either are reflected immediately in the other. With Active Directory, all relevant process organizational information resides in one location making administration easy.

Features

Groups:

The Org Chart allows you to define Groups of users, job functions, departments, or other groups. Groups are used to assign tasks to a collection of individuals, such a "Sales Engineers," "Payable Clerks," or "Managers."

Sub-Charts:

You can insert multiple sub-charts into another chart. This is very useful for large organizations where it is not practical to have the entire company represented in one chart. Furthermore, you can name the sub-chart anything you want, such as department, division, section, or team.

Relationships:

You can insert subordinates, superiors, and assistants in the Org Chart. All insertions are done graphically.

Multiple Job Functions/User:

You can assign one user to multiple Job Functions to account for multiple roles that employees have in today's organizations.

Multiple Users/Job Functions:

You can assign a group of users to a Job Function. For example, you can create a Job Function Group called "Application Engineers" and assign several individuals to this Group. The first member of the Group automatically becomes Application Engineer 1, the second one Application Engineer 2, and so on.

Search:

Search the Org Chart quickly for a user or a Job Function. This is very useful if you have a large organization chart. Wildcard searches are also supported.

External Directories:

Along with Active Directory, the Ultimus Org Chart also works with NT Directory and supported LDAP 3.0 directories.
